Celebrating 10 years as a band, during which time they revolutionised classical music with their winning combination of good looks and musical talent, The Mediaeval Baebes come to Buxton with a festive spectacular.
Pulling lyrics from medieval texts and setting them to original scores using mediaeval and classical instruments, the Baebes offer a sound that is unique. Their albums, including Salva Nos, Worldes Blysse and Mirabilis have been massive hits and they also provided the music for BBC1’s The Virgin Queen. They combine fourteenth century poetry with the talents and sensibilities of twenty-first century women has created its own force of nature – The Mediaeval Baebes.
