Roxy Magic

06 April 7:30 PM

Roxy Magic are an outstanding tribute to Roxy Music, the English art-rock group, who attained mainstream popular and critical success in the UK and Europe throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. Roxy Music was one of the first rock groups who created and maintained a carefully crafted look and style, immortalised by the super-cool Bryan Ferry, with songs such as Virginia Plain, Love Is The Drug, Avalon, Let’s Stick Together and many, many more.
Now, Roxy Magic re-creates all the atmosphere of a ‘live in concert’ performance, in a stunning tribute to Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry. Founder and lead singer, Kevin Hackett so closely resembles Bryan Ferry in looks, voice and mannerisms, that this totally authentic show delivers on every level. Read more about this event … or

25 April 7:30 PM

Following a tour with the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, comedian and actor Adrian Edmondson came up with the idea of a new idea for a band playing punk era classics with celtic folk arrangements. Adapting his love of the songs of The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Jam and The Stranglers to a new-found mandolin, he put together the Bad Shepherds with the aid of Fairport Convention’s Maartin Alcock on 12-string guitar and bass, Troy Donockley on Uillean pipes, Andy Dinan on fiddle and Mark Woolley on percussion. Having proved a smash-hit on the festival circuit, Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds now bring their unique folk-punk crossover to the Opera House. Read more about this event … or
