Part of a hugely successful Classics By Candlelight series of touring concerts, Vivaldi By Candlelight is a delightful evening of musical entertainment featuring top London musicians The Locrian Ensemble in lavish period costume and in an stunning and evocative candlelit setting – the perfect ambience in which to enjoy musical gems including The Four Seasons and Concerto For Two Violins, as well as Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, Bach’s Air on a G String and Pachelbel’s Kanon. Although showing every respect for the music, and playing it superbly, the Locrian have built a reputation and a huge following for their humour and rapport with their audiences. The Fureys & Davey Arthur

The Fureys & Davey Arthur celebrated their 30th anniversary last year with the release of a ‘live in concert’ DVD and CD and continue to play on all continents where they bring their music, songs and stories to generations who have enjoyed them over the years. Their audiences have included former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, President of Ireland Mary McAleese and the late Pope John Paul II. Tony Blair has stated his favourite peace song of all time is the Fureys’ Green Fields of France.
There is nothing we can say about these legends of Irish music that people don’t already know so don’t miss this concert and an opportunity when you can hear them sing all their hits including When You Were Sweet Sixteen, The Old Man, Red Rose Café, From Clare To Here, Her Father Didn’t Like Me Anyway, Leaving Nancy and Steal Away.
