Shaky paid his dues, performing in bands, and working the circuit in the UK and Europe, before eventually signing as a solo artist to Track Records, and then to CBS/Epic on a world-wide basis, finally establishing himself as an enduring international artist. He has collaborated with and worked alongside some of the most astute rock and country blues-aware musicians in the world. A Gala Fundraising Concert in aid of Blythe House Hospice
Following on from a very successful, sell out concert in 2008 Britain’s longest established symphony orchestra, The Hallé, returns to the Buxton Opera House for a second gala fundraising concert in aid of Blythe House Hospice.
The Hallé Orchestra will present a wonderful programme of varied classic music including: Shostakovich – ‘Festive Overture’, Dvorak – ‘Slavonic Dance op 72 no 1 (9)’, Wagner – ‘Ride of the Valkyries’, Bernstein – ‘Times Square’ from On The Town and Rimsky Korsakov – ‘Capriccio Espagnol’.
