Talon were formed back in September 1997. Fifteen years on and they are recognised throughout the industry as the worlds definitive Eagles tribute show. The 15th Anniversary Tour features all the classic Eagles hits from their timeless back catalogue including Hotel California, Lyin’ Eyes, Take It Easy, Desperado, Take It To The Limit, Life In The Fast Lane, The Last Resort and many more plus Don Henley solo hits Boys Of Summer and Dirty Laundry and Joe Walsh’s One Day At A Time and Funk #49. Although the show now features seven world class musicians (plus a horn section at selected venues), it is the immensely powerful vocal harmony and exact musical production on which Talon have built their reputation. Galway-born torch singer Mary Coughlan rose to international fame in 1985 with her seminal Irish jazz album Tired and Emotional. Now, with her latest album The House of Ill Repute runs the gamut of emotions with anger, bitterness, betrayal and regret. A companion piece to her autobiography, Mary faces head-on her battles with addiction and the problems in her personal life, including her version of Kirsty MacColl’s song Bad, ‘I’ve been an awful woman all my life / A dreadful daughter and a hopeless wife’.
