John Hegley - The Adventures of Monsieur Robinet

In this entertainment with songs and drawings, John Hegley presents tales about a Frenchman with some unusual [but clean] habits, which include burying his dog’s kennel and his own luggage pieces.
The stories appear alongside other new works, which include an address to aliens on the subject of transport, a poem about a non-talking parrot and some animal impersonations with the aid of a handkerchief.
The audience is invited to sing along. But not to dance. Much.

Tell Me On A Sunday

A rare opportunity to see the definitive version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classic musical Tell Me On A Sunday. With a wonderful original score, featuring the chart-topping song Take That Look Off Your Face, it is now remodeled for Claire Sweeney for 2010 with an exclusive new song, I Still Believe in Love.
Tell Me On A Sunday charts the romantic misadventures of a young English girl in New York. Brimming with optimism, she seeks success and love. But as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations and heartaches she begins to wonder whether she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places. Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music

The smash-hit musical show that has been all around the world and is now back in Buxton. For those of you not yet converted, Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen technicolor, complete with subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along!
Then of course there is the famous fancy-dress competition in which everyone who has come in costume is invited onto the stage to show off their fantastic tailoring skills. So get those vocal chords warmed up, cut up those chintz curtains and hurry down for the perfect night out. Fancy dress is not obligatory but highly recommended!

The Crucible
