When she died in Auschwitz in 1942, brilliant Jewish authoress, Irene Nemirovsky, left behind an unfinished novel depicting the fall and occupation of France – Suite Français. Inspired by Nemirovsky’s haunting prose, The Frozen Heart tells the story of an embittered ex-cabaret singer, who flees Paris to avoid entertaining the Germans.
