Join artist Ruby Hickmott and have a go at painting like Van Gogh. Create your own moons, stars and night skies using loads of bright colours. Create the colours of the night in this familyfriendly and accessible workshop. Equally suitable for disabled and non-disabled children.We have an adjustable table available– please ask.
For ages 4 & over & their families.

Stage Combat

A to Z Festival 2010
Learn how to perform realistic-looking fights, just like they do on stage and screen, with professional fight director Ian Stapleton. Participants will be kicked, punched, headbutted, bitten, have their hair pulled and maybe even their arm broken, but they won’t feel a thing! Ian teaches in drama schools and works with theatres to stage fights with fists, furniture, swords and bottles…you name it, he makes it look dramatic without anyone ever getting hurt!
For ages 8 to 19. Sessions at 10am (ages 8 to 12) & 1pm (ages 13 to 19). Please wear trainers and sportswear you can move in easily. Read more about this event … or

Come with us on a special journey deep into the fairytale forest where the members of Red Earth Theatre will create stories and adventures. Discover what’s lurking in the shadows and scare yourselves silly. But don’t worry – like all good fairy tales this has a happy ending. Children and parents will enjoy making drama together in a fun-filled 90 minute workshop, accessible to both deaf and hearing participants. Join us in breathing new life into familiar and much-loved stories.
