Kaleidoscope Young Singers in Concert

A first-ever performance by the newest addition to our Kaleidoscope family, the Young Singers group. Formed in January 2012 and led by professional jazz singer & teacher Janet Galloway, these 20 youngsters between the ages of 11 and 18 meet every Tuesday in the Pavilion Arts Centre, and will spend their first four months preparing for this Spring 2012 concert. The show will feature group arrangements of modern and classic pop songs, gospel and songs from the shows, all accompanied by their own Kaleidoscope live band.

Annual Summer Gala Concert
Five times finalists in the BBC Choir of the Year competition, the 100 young singing stars of the Kinder Choirs, under Choir Director Joyce Ellis, once again light up a summer night at the Opera House with their youthful vitality and vocal skills. Over 2 decades, the Kinder Choirs have gained an enviable reputation and profile, appearing on both BBC and Granada in Songs of Praise, Celebration of Christmas, Lent in The Park, My Favourite Hymns and Friday Night is Music Night, as well as sharing the platform with the London Symphony and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras and Opera North. Their summer programme in Buxton is always a wonderful blend of classical works, ballads and popular songs. Read more about this event … or
