Five times finalists in the BBC Choir of the Year competition, the 100 young singing stars of the Kinder Choirs, under Choir Director Joyce Ellis, once again light up a summer night at the Opera House with their youthful vitality and vocal skills. Over nearly 20 years, the Kinder Choirs have gained an enviable reputation and profile, appearing on both BBC and Granada in Songs of Praise, Celebration of Christmas, Lent in The Park, My Favourite Hymns and Friday Night is Music Night, as well as sharing the platform with The London Symphony and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras and Opera North. Tideswell Male Voice Choir presents Showstoppers Spectacular!

Following yet another sell out concert in 2009, Tideswell Male Voice Choir present their 2010 Showstoppers Spetacular.
This year’s event will centre around favourites from the world of musical theatre and film.
Sharing the stage with the choir this year will be two stars from the West End – Helen Owen and Vicki Ekanoye (currently to be seen in Les Misérables and The Lion King respectively) – together with a chorus of local young talent.
Also, making their stage debut this year will be Come and Sing’s male chorus, a group of men from around the Peak District, trained from scratch especially for this show. Read more about this event … or
