Buxton Opera House is delighted to welcome sensational West End singing star Lee Mead.
Lee’s singing and acting talents came to national prominence in 2007 as winner of BBC One’s Any Dream Will Do and since then he hasn’t looked back! Taking on the role of Joseph in the West End he won critical acclaim and further acting/singing roles – he has recently taken over the Wicked role of Fiyero – alongside which he is now pursuing a solo singing career.
At the Opera House, Lee will be accompanied by his very own a live band in a show which includes West End numbers, modern pop-rock classics, a few standards, some self-penned songs and favourites from his album, Nothing Else Matters, which went double gold within weeks of going on sale.
Lee is joined on stage by Niamh Perry, one of the most popular finalists from I’d Do Anything, who has since gone on to play Sophie in Mamma Mia! in the West End, and is currently starring as Fleck in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies.
With a resonant voice that’s reminiscent of a young Michael Ball, he’s pitch-perfect, too!
