Thank You & Networking Drinks Reception

Buxton Opera House held its first Thank You & Networking Drinks Reception on Monday 3 March 2008, for Opera House supporters and Cavendish Business Club members. Andrew Aughton, Buxton Opera House Chief Executive gave a brief introduction at the start of the night, highlighting why the support is so important. ‘Funds generated by local business supporters help to maintain the upkeep of the building and fund the wide variety of shows on offer at the Opera House, we are extremely grateful.’
Jenny Mather, Opera House Business Development Officer gave members an incentive to spread the word about the wide variety of marketing opportunities on offer by introducing a ‘Recommend a Friend’ scheme – with money-saving benefits for those present. During the night attendees were also encouraged to make a special offer, exclusive to fellow Opera House supporters via a fun ‘2-minutes on the microphone’.
This successful event was the inaugural networking evening for Buxton Opera House supporters and members, and will be repeated in the future.
