Discounts
Discounted prices apply (unless otherwise stated) to Senior Citizens, groups of 8 or more, JSA claimants, people in receipt of Income Support (including Pensions Credit), disabled people (essential companions come free), full-time students (aged 16 & over) and children aged 3 to 15. Children 2 or under are (only) welcome for family shows where the £2 discounted price is indicated. Please be prepared to provide proof of status if asked.
School & Group Discounts
Special discounts are usually available for groups and schools. In addition to our standard rate for groups of 8 or more (available on most shows), we are also usually able to offer more generous discounts for groups of 20 or more (or 10+ for schools). Children in the Theatre
Children are welcome at the Opera House but please note the following:
- Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
- School or children’s groups of 10 or more should be accompanied by at least one adult per 10 children.
- Children under the age of 3 can only be admitted at family shows where the £2 or £2.50 discounted price is indicated.
- A safety leaflet is produced for all families using the balconies or boxes; please ask when booking. For safety reasons, Upper Circle side seats & boxes are not sold to families with children under 10.
Standby Tickets
Limited numbers of £5 Standby tickets are available for most performances (see individual performances for details) from one hour before the performance (not Dress Circle seats), to Full-time Students (aged 16 & over) and people in receipt of JSA/Income Support. Proof of status is required.
